October's nearly over

What a crazy couple of months it has been in the world of ATV racing in Australia, seemingly all the eastern states had thier state title event in the space of a month SA, then Victoria, then QLD with the MX Nationals in WA only a coupe of weeks later. Throw an Australasian Safari in there and it has been a busy time. The results for the MX National can be found at the mylaps webiste and I would like to congratulate WA's Ryan Lancaster on his second Pro MX National Title with a special mention to young Adam Larson from Vic who in his first year as a senior rider made a clean sweep of the Intermediate class and will surely be a contender in the Pro Class next year.

My main focus over the last few months however has been to get Paul Smith's TRX700XX ready for and through the 7 days of the Australasian Safari in WA, the final build up of which you can read about here, which of course Smitty finally managed to crack it for a win there after 2 years on the lower steps of the podium. Now when I say my main focus over that time I do mean it, getting the quad ready for Safari and the event itself pretty much took over my whole September and it was good to get a result over there, you can read all about our Safari adventures in my 2010 Safari Blog and there are quite a few videos that have been put together, some by us and also the Safari TV ones which show great day by day coverage of the event. Highlights of the Australasian Safari, will be screened on ONE HD & Channel TEN from this Sunday (24 October) at 10:05pm.

The other big news in the mean time is that in the midst of all this racing business that we have decided to pull up sticks and head across country to live in Adelaide for a while, the plan being that I'm going to go and work for a long time friend of the 47 Industries crew, Dave "Scooter" Hann in the workshop at his business Scootaround, which gives South Australia a new ATV mechanic and will hopefully give me more time to produce more content for this site. This will be in part achieved by having access to the 47 Industries workshop studio which Mick has been putting the finishing touches on and will enable us to be able to knock out plenty of workshop "How To" videos in the near future.

There has been a stack of new video content added in the last month in addition to the Safari videos, there are reviews of Austraco's Rhino and thier LTR450 as well as a look at a unique, almost vintage, ATV the Suzuki LT500R and John Maragozidis' Safari Special Interceptor 850. Also a new "How To" with this suspension servicing video from Quad Squad.
